Momjan is located on the gentle slopes of northwestern Istria, a small village with a developed gastronomy and excellent wines, among which Momjan Muscat - Moscato di Momiano stands out, one of the 18 Croatian wines with a certificate of authenticity awarded by the European Union. With the desire to present the fascinating heritage as best as possible, the House of the Castle - Casa dei Castelli was opened. It is an interpretation and visitor center conceived as an attractive architectural marker of an object of traditional architecture, the former old post office and dairy in the center of Momjan.

  • About 25,000 foreign workers are employed in Istria, mostly in the construction and tourism sectors. The largest number of workers comes from Egypt, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Nepal. On the occasion of celebrating the World Tourism Day, we will organize professional guidance of the House of Istrian Castles especially for these workers, in order to bring them closer to the cultural heritage of Istria and enable them to better understand the region where they work and live.
