Tour of the National Museum and Labin City Gallery

Description

The Labin National Museum is located in the old town center of the City of Labin, inside the baroque palace of Battiala & Lazzarini, recognizable by its reddish facade with blue windows and its imposing size of almost a thousand square meters. The palace was built around 1630, while its facade dates from 1727. It served as the family residence of the Battiala noble family from Labin until the 19th century, when with the marriage of Margherita Battiala to Lodovic Lazzarini, the palace became the joint property of the Battiala & Lazzarini families. Since 1960, the Labin National Museum has been operating in the palace, one of the most recognizable attractions of which is a replica of the mine.
