Palace Bettica, Vodnjan: Exhibition – Permanent display

Description

Palace Bettica is located in Castello Street in Vodnjan and dates back to the 14th century. The space on the ground floor is intended for the exhibition of archaeological material. On the first floor, there is a valuable collection of paintings collected in Venice by the painter Gaetano Gresler and left to the City of Vodnjan in 1818. There are a total of 19 paintings, mostly of profane themes (still life, portrait, battle) from the 17th and 18th centuries. The second floor is dedicated to the palace itself (history, reconstruction work progress), the future Museum of the City of Vodnjan and the citizens who donated valuable items thirty years ago.
