Accessible tourism in Istria
One of the priorities and main goals of the sustainable and responsible development of the County of Istria is to improve the life of local communities, that is, to improve the quality of life of local residents as well as the quality of stay of the visitors to our region.
The Administrative Department for Tourism of the County of Istria, within the framework of all its activities on the development of green tourism and green transition, encourages the development of accessible tourism by adapting the existing or creating a new inclusive tourist offer. In this way, we take care of the needs of people with disabilities and reduced mobility, as well as other people with special needs, in a way that enables them to use tourism amenities in the same way other people do, which improves their quality of life and makes them equal members of the wider community.
