Description

Opg Maretić are Michael and Teddy Maretic and mother Dusica Defar. We work by plowing, cultivating, sowing and reaping. That is all that is being done in our fields, what comes to come, if nature is great, if not, we do not regret it. Green manure, no spraying no adding any additives. Every two or three years, rabašpanja, trafajon, alfalfa, etc. are sown, which are plowed after two years and used as fertilizer for the next two, three or four years.

There will always be work, in full cooperation with nature, no organic preparations, no organic fertilizers (powder) or anything like that, the yield is half as low, the price of the product is a bit higher but we work, love and live together with nature that needs no help except a little plowing and is most grateful when nothing is added to it, - trust us. The same is true for grinding, so that from the first day, it is completely natural to grind in the Setum mill, Dušica Defar, who has been at the helm of the mill since 1980. (her dad set it up in 1971) has never stumbled and will not, no supplements are used, not even the slightest, so whether it is environmentally certified or not, nothing means literally nothing. We are currently working approx. 10 ha, next year we hope to be approx. 15 ha, all the leased fields were at least ten or twenty years old, we were looking for only such, even if we harvested them for years, we sow all the cereals only our own (we have a grain calibration machine) and corn which is a domestic variety so it can be sown every year.
