KABOLA d.o.o.
Description
Kabola is a boutique winery, based in Croatia, in northwestern Istria. The first Croatian producer of high quality certified organic EU BIO wines since 2009, but the story of viticulture in the Markežić family dates back to 1891, when the first cornerstone was laid with the indigenous Momjan Muscat. In addition to organic wines, we also offer extra virgin olive oils. As proof of our passion for nature and desire to create as natural a product as our grandfathers' desires, we use only biodegradable products without pesticides to treat our wines.
The winery is headed by Marino Markežić, the third generation and director of the Kabola winery and the first Croatian wine producer Amphora (orange wines). The wine produced in Amphoras is the crown of our work and effort. Nature and land have given us a completely new dimension in the indigenous varieties of Istrian Malvasia and Teran. Prolonged fermentation in amphorae and aging on the drop and sediment until late spring show its nobility. The soil consists mainly of clay and is rich in marl and minerals, which gives the wines unique characteristics.
The unique beauty of the Istrian region and the stone house that exudes tradition with top quality organic wines will give all our wine lovers a reason to return.
