POD LINIJU j.d.o.o. - Vina Lunika

Description

Ecologically and biodynamically cultivated vineyards of the Bastijančić family cover 3.5 hectares, and they grow Malvasia, Pinot Gris, Teran, Muscat Yellow, Black Muscat, Borgonja, Cabernet Sauvignon and the last planted black Malvasia, which gave its first harvest last fall.

From that grape, the Lunika winery produces 11 wine labels, whose names are thematically united in memory of the former string, the railway from Kanfanar to Rovinj, which was abolished a long time ago, but is still alive in the memory of local people. The names of the wines are a romantic reconstruction of the journey along that ancient railway, slow in relation to today's traffic speeds, but sufficient to place entire destinies, lives and love within its concepts and meanings.

Makiništa Pinot Gris won the most awards: it won a bronze medal at the 2018 International Wine Challenge in London, and twice won a gold medal at the German Organic Wine Awards, in 2018 and 2019, but the highest recognition went to the long-macerated Malvasia Viaggio lungo who earned a major gold medal at the same 2020 Organic Wine Awards.
